| NPD | NPD is an acronym for new product development. NPD refers to the methodology developed for getting a new product to the market. This includes organizing processes like: brainstorming for new product ideas, analyzing the possible impact of the new product based on the initial ideas (before any development process starts), developing the new product and marketing it. There are some associations for product development professionals, such as the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) and the Product Development Institute (PDI). |
