Oracle released on March 11, 2008 version 15 of its successful CRM On Demand solution. Release 15 of CRM On Demand introduces several powerful crm enhancements, such as the new social CRM feature that enriches social networking and collaboration. This really brings Oracle® CRM On Demand more into the Web 2.0 world, given that it already has end user customization options such as widget and gadget creation, that can be integrated into online portals (iGoogle, MyYahoo!, Bloglines) - this way users can access important CRM information (such as contacts and accounts) via web portals.
This is the 15th major update of Oracle CRM On Demand since its first release 4.5 years ago. New or improved features in Oracle CRM On Demand Release 15:
- Improved collaboration - Collaborate and share CRM information more effectively with your co-workers through the use of the centralized message center that allows sharing and interacting on posted sticky notes (for example). You can subscribe to notes for specific contacts or accounts, leads, opportunities and also track, manage and respond to these notes.
- Read important news directly into Oracle CRM On Demand - Through the use of contextual RSS news feeds and embedded widgets you can easily read important selected information from social networks, newspapers or other business sources (such as Google News, Youtube, Digg, CNN, ...).
- Easily access key CRM information from other web portals - Using widgets and gadgets you can add the CRM information that you're interested in (lists, crm reports, messages) directly into other portals that support rss (iGoogle) or on your desktop (using Vista).
- Better business insight - Oracle CRM on Demand now provides more than 45 predefined CRM reports, giving you better analytics capabilities.
